Cloud computing is still at its infancy, I don’t believe what Apple has proposed will be the same in a few years time. It is a piece of work in development and will be refined further to ensure ease of use – if you had tried OSX Cheetah, remember how slow it was and I am glad Apple stuck to it and get it to the stage of Leopard. I believe iWorks will be the same and it will come one day when we can make a Keynote presentation from the cloud and using the iPhone as a projector.

OK I just tried it with Firefox on Ubuntu 8.10 and the first time it didn’t work at all beyond the ‘unsupported’message. I cleared the cache and cookies and the next time it did work. Still had the ‘unsupported browser’message to click past though. I’ll give it a few more tries and if it keeps working I’ll update the post. It certainly didn’t work at all when it was first introduced, so I guess they have been working on it, if a little halfheartedly.

Does it now, that’s interesting. I’ve never had success with that, just an ‘unsupported browser’message from me.com. I’d love to get that working.

Even though it complains about it Firefox on my Linux latop uses Mobile Me web site and tools without issue.
